The 2013 Petit Chablis comes from 4.9 hectares of 30-year-old vine and is raised entirely in stainless steel. It has a lively wild mint-tinged bouquet with touches of undergrowth in the background. The palate is well-defined with lemon zest and Granny Smith apples, although the finish feels a little short in the mouth. Drink now-2017.
Domaine Roland Lavantureux offered a mixed bag of delights in 2012, with one of two very impressive wines for the vintage rubbing shoulders with a couple that found the going tougher.
