Bursting with aromas of pear, orange oil, freshly baked bread and buttery pastry, the 2020 Meursault Village is medium to full-bodied, ample and open-knit, with lively acids and a long, saline finish.

Offering up a generous bouquet of pear, white flowers and buttery yellow orchard fruit, the 2018 Meursault Village is medium to full-bodied, open-knit and fleshy, with a generous core of fruit and succulent acids.

Aromas of pastry cream, crisp pear and lemon curd introduce the 2017 Meursault Village, a medium-bodied, elegantly textural wine with good concentration and depth, underpinned by tangy acids.

The 2016 Meursault Village had been bottled three weeks before my visit in Beaune. It has quite a showy, brioche and peach skin-scented bouquet with a smudge of yellow plum in the background. The palate is well balanced with plenty of peach and nectarine on the entry, perhaps a more commercial Meursault, but there is nothing wrong with that if it is well made. And I feel that this is well made.

The 2015 Meursault was tasted as the final blend from barrel. It has a very aromatic peach and yellow plum scented bouquet with just a faint hint of peppermint adding a soup?on of extravagance. The palate is well balanced with a harmonious, glycerine-tinged opening, the acidity well judged with a touch of stem ginger enlivening the finish. Bon vin!
