An ample and well-rounded Crozes-Hermitage with notes of dark cherries, mixed berries, dried herbs, smoke and black pepper. Medium body with great volume and control. Crisp and bright. Very low alcohol at 12.5% yet it has character and poise. It has some inky character on the palate and a succulent finish. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drink or hold.

Frankly ripe and direct, with a tasty blast of dark cherry and plum compote flavors scored with notes of tar and anise on the velvety finish. The hint of violets in the background adds range too. The cedar, vanilla and wood spice-scented 2019 Crozes-Hermitage Sicamor backs those notes with copious black cherries and blackberries. A blend of three different terroirs (granite, puddingstone and argille-galets), it's full-bodied, concentrated and richly tannic, with a long, velvety finish. Purists will say it's oaky and a bit generic, but quibbles aside, it's a tasty glass of wine for drinking over the rest of this decade.

The 2018 Crozes-Hermitage Sicamor is deeper and richer in the range of Crozes, with earthy and savory notes joining black cherries and dried spices. Drawn from several lieux-dits directly around Hermitage, it's medium to full-bodied, with ample weight on the palate, a ripe, velvety mouthfeel and a long finish.
