Pretty, up-front and already approachable, the 2011 Cuvee Arlette is made from 49% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Franc 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and the balance Petit Verdot. Aged 20 months in 40% new French oak, it offers up loads of red plums, licorice, toast and hints of chocolate to go with a medium-bodied, rounded and delicious profile on the palate. It lacks the back-end depth to make it a long term ager, but will dish up plenty of pleasure over the coming 4 to 5 years.
Possessing a tasting room in Woodinville, these rock-solid efforts are made by Kit Singh. He excels both with his reds and whites.
