The 2020 Meursault Les Tillets opens with notes of crisp green apple, freshly baked bread, white flowers and crushed mint. Medium-bodied, satiny and elegant, it's lively and precise, with a pretty core of fruit and a mouthwatering finish.

Aromas of citrus oil, crisp Anjou pear, white flowers and toasted nuts introduce the 2018 Meursault Les Tillets, a medium-bodied, bright and lively wine that's fine-boned and delicate, with a slightly diffuse mid-palate that's typical of the vintage.

The 2015 Meursault Les Tillets, matured in 25% new oak, has a brush of honey and orange zest on the nose that probably needs to demonstrate more delineation and energy as it matures in bottle. The palate is balanced with rounded, honeyed fruit tinged with walnut and almond, though I would have liked more nervosité on the finish that feels conservative compared to some of the other 2015s from the domaine.

The 2013 Meursault les Tillets was more reluctant to show its wares on the nose, but there appears to be a more stony character compared to the Charrons ’13 tasted alongside. The palate is clean and fresh on the entry with a crisp line of acidity and a lightly spiced finish that lingers in satisfying fashion. This should be afforded a couple of years in bottle.
