The 2017 Meursault is showing very well from bottle, opening in the glass with an incipiently complex bouquet of fresh pear, hazelnuts, white flowers and crushed chalk. Medium to full-bodied, tensile and incisive, it's serious and tightly wound after bottling but displays fine depth at the core and a long, energetic finish. I'm happy to have a case in my cellar.

The 2015 Meursault is an utterly classic example of the appellation, revealing an attractive bouquet of hazelnuts, fresh pear, white flowers and wheat toast. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, lively but muscular, with good concentration, chewy structuring extract and bright underlying acids. Still youthfully primary, it's five or six years away from the beginning of its drinking window.

The 2014 Meursault Village comes from three parcels and offers a well defined bouquet with touches of orange rind and lime flower, pretty if not intense. The palate is fresh on the entry with crisp acidity, bright and pretty with a hint of passion fruit and spice on the finish. Enjoy this over the next 4-5 years.

The 2013 Meursault Village comes from three parcels that each contributes a different facet to the blend that only as a whole expresses the appellation. It has a really quite engaging bouquet with crisp lime flower, bruised apple and fine mineralite, even at this nascent stage. The palate is well balanced with appreciable ripeness and weight in the mouth. I like the energy here - very composed with a precise finish that's Puligny-like.
