The 2020 Corton Grand Cru Le Rognet et Corton has turned out very well, unwinding in the glass with aromas of dark berries, spices, bitter chocolate, loamy soil and vine smoke. Medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with lively acids, fine, chalky tannins and a long, penetrating finish, it's one of the best reds I've tasted from the Buisson brothers.

Unwinding in the glass with notes of dark berries, spices, orange rind, peonies and loamy soil, the 2019 Corton Grand Cru Le Rognet et Corton is medium to full-bodied, lively and concentrated, with powdery tannins, bright acids and a sapid, nicely defined finish.

The 2018 Corton Grand Cru Le Rognet et Corton unwinds in the glass with aromas of cassis, sweet berry fruit, potpourri and spices. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, it has an ample core of fruit, ripe acids and rich, powdery tannins that assert themselves on the finish.

From a parcel located near the block belonging to Domaine Méo Camuzet, the Buisson brothers' 2017 Corton Grand Cru Le Rognet et Corton opens in the glass with a lavish bouquet of cherries, raspberries and sweet soil tones. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, layered and lively, with good depth and concentration and an ample chassis of rich, powdery tannin. It's a decided success.

The 2015 Corton Grand Cru Le Rognet et Corton offers up a lovely nose of rich red fruit, wood smoke, grilled meat and a subtle framing of spicy new oak. On the palate, the wine is ample, full-bodied and fine-grained, with good concentration and firm structure which will need some time in the cellar to melt.
