I loved the seductiveness of Brusset’s 2006 Gigondas Tradition. A dense ruby/purple-colored wine with notes of blueberries, raspberries, crushed rocks, and spring flowers, the wine is elegant, medium-bodied, with relatively soft tannins and a good finish. The 2005 Gigondas Les Hauts de Montmirail exhibits a dense, saturated ruby/purple color, some very noticeable hints of toasty oak intermixed with crushed rocks, blue and black fruits, graphite, and earth.
