Looking at the only white produced, I loved Clape's 2015 St Péray, and this cuvée gets better and better every year. Medium-bodied, elegant and with serious length, it has the classic minerality of the appellation, as well as lots of brioche, buttered citrus and crisp orchard fruits. Drink it over the coming 4-5 years.

The 2014 St Péray from Clape is a beautiful white and I continue to be impressed by the quality coming from this appellation. From two parcels of granite and clay soils, and a blend of 80% Marsanne and 20% Roussanne aged in foudre, concrete and stainless, it offers lots of salty minerality (which is a hallmark of St Péray), spiced apples and honeysuckle in a medium-bodied, supple, sexy and mouth-filling style on the palate. Drink it anytime over the coming 4-5 years.

Ripe and very juicy, with lots of energy to the yellow apple, green melon, green fig and heather notes. Lovely acidity drives the finish, letting the fruit and floral elements unfurl.
