The 2010 Chianti Classico Riserva di Famiglia shows developed oak tones of new leather and tobacco leaf next to dark fruit and plum. The wine wraps tightly around the palate with polished tannins. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2020.
Cecchi is a go-to estate for good value from the heart of Chianti Classico. As I have observed this estate over the years, I have been impressed by the avid experimentation and the enthusiastic manner in which new products and territories (spanning from Maremma to Montefalco) have been added to the Cecchi brand. Perhaps the most significant addition is the stand-alone wine Coevo, first released in 2006, that embodies Cecchi’s fine wine ambitions.
