The saturated ruby-colored 1998 Barolo Lazzarito exhibits an elegant, sweet style with surprising suppleness for a young Vietti offering. Earthy black cherry fruit mixed with dried herbs and licorice are found in this medium-bodied 1998. It should be drinkable early. Anticipated maturity: 2003-2015.
