The 1979 Cabernet Sauvignon, made up of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Merlot, is pale brick in color with a drop-dead sexy nose of dried flowers, raspberry preserves and preserved plums with hints of sandalwood, oolong tea and dusty soil. The palate is medium-bodied and very fresh and elegant in the mouth, with firm, grainy tannins and loads of mineral and perfumed layers, finishing long with dried red berries and earth layers.
