The dark ruby-colored Richebourg exhibits a sweet nose of cassis, vanilla, and smoke, and closed, medium-bodied flavors. Displaying fine ripeness and intensity, there is tannin in the finish, which is otherwise reassuringly long, sweet, and rich. Give this wine 5-6 years in the cellar and consume it over the next 15.
Meo-Camuzet's 1993s are unquestionably successes for the vintage. All the wines were bottled in April, 1995 without fining or filtration.
