The 1998 Barolo Parafada exhibits a complex aromatic profile of dried herbs and that autumnal, leafy character often found in traditionally-styled Barolos. In the mouth, it is spicy and ripe, with excellent concentration, and a touch of vanillin from barriques. Good sweetness, abundant black cherry fruit, and ripe tannin suggest it will be drinkable between 2004-2015. A Leonardo Locascio Selection, Winebow, Hohokus, NJ; tel. (201) 445-0620
