With fruit from the Verduno area, the 2010 Barolo Monvigliero shows extra spice and red fruit with a good sense of structure and persistency at the back. They acquired this one-hectare parcel in 2007 with 47-year-old vines. The site characteristics underline exotic nuances of spice or aged tea leafs. The tannin is present but silky and polished. This wine boasts its own unique personality. Drink: 2017-2030. Various American importers.

Rich and spicy, with cherry flavors tinged by licorice and menthol notes. Firm tannins add support to this solid, medium-weight style. Lingers on the finish but needs some time to hit its stride.
