The 2014 Dalem performed much better in bottle than it showed in barrel. It was showing a little reduction on the nose when I tasted it, but the definition is here and there is plenty of lovely juice black cherry and licorice aromas that emerge with time. The palate is well balanced with supple black fruit, fine acidity, gentle grip in the mouth with a spicy, generous finish that has commendable length.
