The 2018 Rosso di Montalcino Campogiovanni is fresh and zesty with a very bright and tonic quality of fruit. The aromas recall raspberry, tart cherry and cassis. There's a touch of raspberry jelly-roll candy in there as well. The wine is lean and short, but it shows enough inner energy and acidity to pair with a classic pizza margherita. Some 25,000 bottles were produced.
