The 2016 Chambolle-Musigny Village was cropped at around 28 hectoliters per hectare and is matured in 15 to 20% new oak. It has a well-defined bouquet with red cherries, wild strawberry and violet scents, quite precise and focused. The palate is noted by its grainy tannin, quite compact but fresh with a chalky-textured finish. I like the energy here and it should give several years of drinking pleasure.
