The middle tier of the Vasse Felix Chardonnays, the 2015 Chardonnay features hints of struck match on the nose along with notes of stone fruit and tangerine. It's medium-bodied but gives a greater sensation of richness and ripeness than either of the 2016 Chardonnays reviewed this issue. The finish is perhaps a bit chunky and less precise than it could be, but this wine still delivers plenty of character and flavor.

Intriguing, offering a fragrant mix of toast, saline and lemon curd flavors that are juicy and focused, with good intensity. Bracing acidity opens up the flavors on the finish, showing transparency and energy.
