The flagship offering is the limited production cuvee of 2001 Clos Figueras, a blend of 30% Grenache, 30% Carignan, 20% Merlot, 10% Syrah, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Sadly, there are only 168 cases produced. It exhibits an inky purple color, great richness, and tremendously intense, provocative aromas of black fruits, crushed stones, and flowers. Full-bodied, with fabulous richness, an expansive texture, and a long, firm, structured, well-delineated finish, it will be at its finest between 2008-2020. Amazing depth of color and density of texture give this a Port-like character. The flavors are dark and deep, with chocolate, plum, prune and licorice notes.
