A 2005 Nuits-St.-Georges Les Murgers features roasted meat richness with concentration of black cherry and soy on the palate. High-toned aromatic esters and a slight hint of detached woodiness inform the nose. Finishing with slightly grainy tannins but with an admirable concentration of cooked ginger, black chocolate and coffee grounds mingling with the roasted meat, savory soy and ripe black cherry, this should develop nicely over the next 6-8 years.
