Dujac's Gevrey-Chambertin Les Combottes always has a more exotic, spicy component. The 1988 is extremely smooth and velvety, but lacks the concentration needed to be top class. It is very aromatic, displaying its meaty, cinnamon-like, berry-scented bouquet with soft, medium-bodied flavors. I would drink it over the next 6-7 years. All of the Domaine Dujac wines are bottled unfiltered.
