The 2012 Puligny Montrachet Sous Le Puits was aged in 30% new oak and sees ten months in barrel. This 1er Cru has a light, slightly grassy bouquet with just a dab of licorice in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with well-judged acidity. That hint of licorice is translated across into the mouth, the finish vibrant, despite cutting off a little too abruptly.
