The 2014 Volnay Village has a crisp redcurrant and red cherry scented bouquet, retaining that "cold stone" aroma that I picked up out of barrel. The palate is medium-bodied with red cherry and cranberry fruit, the tannins showing just a little coarseness towards the finish, although that will be abraded with time. This will probably only need a couple of years in bottle before it is ready for the corkscrew.
