Complex aromas of forest floor, spring flowers, black raspberries, and sweet cherries jump from the glass of the dark plum/ruby-colored 2006 Pinot Noir Rosella’s Vineyard. This full-bodied, complex Pinot reveals sweet tannin and decent acidity. It should drink nicely for 3-4 years. Released in October, 2007, this would have benefited from additional time in the bottle, but there’s no reason you can’t cellar it. It’s too young now, with a sharp, rude primary fruit character that’s fresh and jammy in cherries, blackberries and cola. Hold until late in 2008 to let it meld together.——S.H.(2/1/2008)—— 88
