The dark ruby-colored 2008 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley offers up an array of earth notes, mineral, and assorted black fruits. On the palate it lacks the sweetness of fruit which characterizes the better wines of the vintage. Drink it over the next 6 years. Delicious is the first word that pops into your head when you taste this wine. It’s got the sort of sweet fruit that you find in Russian River Pinots, yet retains the definition and refinement, along with a slight herbal nuance, that speaks of the Willamette Valley.
