From 25-year old Chardonnay vines (old for California), the 2007 Chardonnay Thieriot Vineyard comes from the cool climate of the Sonoma Coast. Meant for longer aging than its siblings, it is more restrained than the El Novillero, but should last much longer. Crisp acidity and a beautiful nose of honeysuckle, pineapple, poached pear, and a subtle yeasty bread smell (that probably comes from the oak) are found in this 2007, along with terrific texture, and a long finish offering abundant nectarine flavors. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.. This is a reliably strong portfolio from Bruce Neyers, the national sales representative for Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant. His winemaker is Turley Cellar’s highly renowned Ehren Jordan.Phone: 707-963-8840; Fax: 707-963-8894
