The 2013 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru has a more conservative bouquet compared to the Charmes-Chambertin ’13: dense black fruit laced with cassis, Chinese five-spice and dried herbs. The palate is medium-bodied with a lattice of fine tannins that lend this a feminine touch, silky in the mouth, with a very pure finish that does not have a hair out of place. It is not the most sophisticated Clos Vougeot of the vintage, but it is well crafted.

"Tasted blind. NHB (naughty heavy bottle). Mid blueish crimson. Well integrated, medium-intensity nose. Rather brash cherry cordial nose and some very aggressive tannins. Brash sums it up. Sweet, then oaky."
