The 2003 TOURIGA NACIONAL / MERLOT (QUINTA DA VICOSA) is a single vineyard wine with lovely fruit. There are hints of rhubarb, a little of that sweet ‘n’ sour note I sometimes get with very ripe Touriga Nacional, and ripe tannins. It is elegantly crafted and distinctive. It expands in the glass, and it shows that it is quite well structured, too, as the finish becomes quite gripping. This is very nice. There were 725 cases made. Drink now-2014.
