Deep garnet in color, the 2005 The Benbournie Cabernet Sauvignon has evolved notes of dried cherries and red currants over kirsch, leather, potpourri, game, dried Provence herbs and stewed Ceylon tea. Very full bodied and generously fruited on the palate, the richness is nicely offset by refreshing acidity and a medium to high level of chewy tannins. It has a long earthy / savory finish.
