My favorite of Schiopetto's three current offerings is the 1994 Sauvignon. Its Muscat-like fragrance of honeyed tropical fruits, melons, and herbs, is followed by a dry wine with exceptional intensity, balance, and length. It is an exquisitely constructed, stainless steel-fermented and aged Sauvignon that is bursting with character, ripeness, and fruit. The wine's purity and impeccable balance make it one of the finest expressions of dry white wine I have ever tasted from Italy.
