One of the finest values from this estate is the 2001 Syrah California. Fashioned from declassified single vineyard fruit from Roll Ranch, Bien Nacido, and Vogelzang, it is a lush, ripe, fruity effort offering notes of dried herbs intermixed with black currants, blackberries, licorice, and smoke.
