This is an intriguing surprise. The 1995 Brunello di Montalcino Cerretalto is a lively and buoyant expression with aromas that jump from the glass with intensity and character. This Brunello delivers impressive aromatic purity with a focus on aged aromas of dried fruit, old spice, tar and licorice. Those aromas exhibit graceful silkiness and finesse. This wine has thinned out considerably over the years, leaving little succulence or meat on those bones. Instead, it is fine and silky. You might desire a little more substance and volume on the finish, but the wine performs beautifully nonetheless.

Stunning. This blockbuster old-vine wine is dark in color, with beautiful aromas of crushed berries, flowers and grilled meat. It's full-bodied, with big chewy tannins and loads of fruit.
