The 2011 Branco is part of this issue's vertical. A little time in the bottle has improved this dramatically. That's one of the important issues in aging--not just holding, but improving. The fruit here is alive now and this has a ton of personality. If anything, the mid-palate has fleshed out. It seems solid, tightly wound and completely fresh, without a hint of aging. I do like to be conservative with new brands that have no track record, but I treated this badly on my initial look. It is one of the stars of the vertical.
