For a grand cru in an excellent vintage this is a lightweight offering, with some initially pleasant scents of cherries and tar the best it has going for it. High-toned shellac is there as well, and once in the mouth it turns thin and tannic, with a short, tough finish. ——P.G.(11/1/2002)—— 86
