The 2002 Museum Crianza was too light and lean to recommend. The 2001 Museum Real Reserva is 100% Tinta del Pais (Tempranillo) from 50- to 60-year-old vines and was aged 24 months in new French oak before being bottled unfiltered. Dark ruby-colored, the wine offers aromas of toast, earth, cinnamon, and red currant. The wine is medium to full-bodied with a solid core of red fruit flavors, light tannin and medium length. This polished red shows lovely sweet, toasty oak, which frames ripe plum and blackberry fruit flavors and gives a light but firm tannic backbone to the almost syrupy texture. Drink now through 2007. 10,000 cases made.??–TM??Region: Spain / Cigales Select to Add

Gets off the blocks with Middle Eastern spice notes of cumin and curry, but later on open-cut wood and vanilla take over. Bold cherry, blackberry and black olive flavors are solid, while the mouthfeel is tannic and rowdy.
