Better balanced but not quite as pleasure-bent, the 2008 Wild Eyed Syrah was fermented with a combination of native and commercial yeasts and aged in a mix of barriques and puncheons. Deep purple in color with aromas of lavender, spice box, and assorted blue and black fruits, on the palate it is more structured than the Lost Soul cuvee but not as expressive playing it closer to the vest. Give it 1-2 years to fill out and drink it through 2018.
