The 2005 Los Moradas de San Marin is made up of 85% Garnacha with the balance Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah that was fermented with native yeasts and aged 13 months in French oak. Dark ruby red in color, it displays an inviting nose of cherry, tobacco, earth notes, and incense. Full-bodied on the palate with plenty of spicy fruit and enough structure to evolve for 1-2 years, this well-balanced effort will drink nicely over the next 6-8 years.
