The heady and spicy 2018 Initio was produced with ripe Garnacha from organically farmed vineyards where they apply biodynamic principles, but the wines are not certified in biodynamics. It comes through as quite oaky, with notes of prunes and spices. 24,615 bottles and 210 magnums produced. It was bottled in November 2021.

The 2015 Initio has notes of shoe polish and earth, and it also reminded me of some wines from Priorat from the turn of the century. It's ripe at 15% alcohol and has plenty of tannins and still some oak-related flavors (and tannins?) that give it a powdery and earthy texture. It needs powerful food. 15,866 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2018 after the different lots matured between eight and 18 months in barrel.

There is something minty and very balsamic in the 2013 Initio, and it feels closer to the Priorats from the 2000s than the majority of Garnachas from Gredos. It has a dark color and a brooding nose, with warm notes of soil and graphite. The palate is dominated by lots of tannins, providing an astringent finish. From a cold and rainy year, this has a moderate 15% alcohol and underwent a long aging in oak. For fans of the style. This is as far removed from the fragrant and floral Garnachas from Gredos as I can think of. 21,900 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2016.

This round red offers fruit and savory notes, with black cherry flavors mingling with dried herb, smoke and tar details. Light, firm tannins and balsamic acidity support the polished texture. The wine they consider to show the house style is the 2010 Initio, a blend of old-vine Garnacha from different old vineyards at high altitude (890 meters) fermented separately in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts. It aged in 500-liter French oak barrels for ten to 16 months depending on the plot and then was blended together and kept for a further ten months. It has developed notes with sous bois, lactic notes, spices and brick dust. The palate is polished, with resolved tannins and lively acidity. Drink up. 32,000 bottles produced.
