Described by importer Peter Vezan as “off the charts,” the 2003 Corton-Charlemagne Vieilles Vignes “Caniculus” (white) reveals a nose of resiny minerals and herbal liqueur. Light to medium-bodied and bright, it explodes on the palate with sap-drenched minerals, smoky slate, quartz, chalk dust, pears, and hints of lemons. Bright, powerful, and concentrated, it is an immensely appealing, exceptionally long wine for drinking between 2006 and 2013.
