The 2017 Pinot Noir Dundee Hills Select is bright and fresh, with Bing cherries, cranberries, licorice, dried herbs and forest floor aromas. It's light to medium-bodied with fresh, crunchy fruits, a lightly chalky frame and juicy acidity, finishing long. 275 cases produced.

The 2014 Pinot Noir Dundee Hills Select comes from four vineyards fermented separately and matured in 20% new oak. It has quite a lively bouquet with small red cherries, redcurrant and cranberry, although I would have liked more complexity to show through given the vintage. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannin. This is well balanced though toward the finish it tends to clam up a little and feel somewhat "rigid." Give this another 12-18 months to loosen its tie. Around 150 cases produced.

The 2013 Pinot Noir Dundee Hill Select was picked on October 1 and 2, and aged in 27% one-year-old and the rest neutral French oak. It has a tightly wound bouquet with blackberry, briary and boysenberry jam aromas that just need more vigor. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, certainly with more fruit intensity than Torii Mor's other 2013 releases: bilberry and raspberry preserve, a pinch of white pepper on the finish. Give this a year in bottle and drink over 5-6 years.

The 2012 Pinot Noir Dundee Hills Select comes from three vineyards: 47% Bella Vida, 24% La Colina and 29% Olsen Estate Vineyard aged for 20 months in 20% new oak. It has a very Burgundy-inspired bouquet with raspberry, wild strawberry and sous-bois aromas that unfurl nicely in the glass in a natural, unpretentious manner. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy, vivacious red cherry and strawberry fruit on the entry. This captures the joyful nature of Pinot Noir with engaging poise and impressive focus on the finish. This is another excellent wine from winemaker Jacques Tardy.

The 2009 Pinot Noir Dundee Hills Select was sourced from the Bella Vida, Nysa, and La Colina vineyards. Cedar, cinnamon, clove, coriander, cassis, and cherry aromas are followed by a savory, succulent, easy-going Pinot that is nicely proportioned and lengthy. Give it 1-2 years and drink it through 2019. Torii Mor was founded in 1993 by Dr. Donald and Margie Olson. Their Olson Estate Vineyard was planted in 1972 making it one of the oldest in the state.
