The 2006 Pinot Noir Dundee Hills Select is dark ruby in color with red and black cherry, black raspberry, damp earth and spice box aromatics. Silky-textured, round, and dense, the wine has excellent depth and grip, followed by a lengthy, fruit-filled finish. Drink it over the next five to six years. Torii Mor Winery was founded in 1993 by Dr. Donald and Margie Olson who continue to actively operate the winery. The winery produces 15-18,000 cases, mostly from the Dundee Hills AVA. Tel. This is a barrel selection from the winery’s three Dundee Hills Vineyards, a step or two up from its Oregon and Willamette Valley bottlings. It’s more precisely crafted, with a focus on a midpalate flavors of wild cherry and currant.
