The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc is water-white in the glass and leads with snow peas, pear skin, green apple and a hint of lemongrass. In the mouth, the wine gives us everything we want from this region and variety: cilantro, jalape?o, white flowers and more. It's tight and fine, with some juniper through the mid-palate. Cleansing acidity. A bit crunchy and nice. 12% alcohol, sealed diner screw cap.

A clean, grassy, unoaked style, Sidewood's 2020 Sauvignon Blanc boasts scents of gooseberries and pink grapefruit, plus some riper hints of stone fruit and fig. It's medium-bodied, smooth and stylish, without the excess herbaceousness that the variety can sometimes present. Drink it over the next year or two.

The 2016 Sauvignon Blanc starts off with aromas of cactus pear, guava and fig. It's a medium-bodied, fleshy example of Sauvignon Blanc, a fine counterpoint to the herbal style so often found in the marketplace. It may be a little soft and plump for some people, but it will be warm and welcoming to others, wrapping up with a bit of pineapple on the finish.
