The 2003 Barbera d’Asti Frem is ostensibly the regular bottling but, in the glass, the wine has much more to give. Warmly alcoholic, fruit-laden, round, and with a swelling volume, its freshness is rather deceptive, as it will continue to give much drinking pleasure for another three or four years.
