The 2018 Pinot Noir Kessler-Haak Vineyard has a pale ruby color and fragrant scents of red berries, black tea leaves, lemon peel and earth. The medium-bodied palate is intense yet delicately styled, with a soft, grainy frame, bright, crunchy fruits and a long, spicy finish.

The 2017 Pinot Noir Kessler Haak Vineyard has a nose of cranberries and Earl Grey tea leaves with notes of cola and forest floor. The palate is light to medium-bodied with spice and earth-laced fruits, softly framed and juicy with an uplifted finish. 63 cases were made.

Pale to medium ruby, the 2015 Pinot Noir Kessler Haak Vineyard is subtly scented of saline, oolong tea, dried herbs and earth with dried blueberries, blackberries and black cherries plus touches of woodsmoke, peppercorn and citrus peel. Light to medium-bodied, it's wonderfully silky with concentrated, spicy fruits held together by ripe, grainy tannins and great freshness, finishing long and spicy.

Pale to medium ruby-purple in color, the 2014 Pinot Noir Kessler Haak Vineyard is all perfumed earth, fallen leaves, mossy bark and fungi on the nose with a gentle red berry core and touch of roses. Medium-bodied, taut and chewy in the mouth, the palate has a quiet intensity of savory/earthy layers and finishes on a peppery note.

More ripe, voluptuous, rounded and seamlessly textured, the 2012 Pinot Noir Kessler Haak Vineyard gives up lots of spiced raspberries and black cherry fruits, underbrush and dusty soil notes on the nose. Surprisingly ripe and textured (this release is normally more delicate and ethereal), it has a core of sweet fruit, expands nicely on the palate and has terrific purity and fine tannin. Seeing 40% stems and 20 months in 30% new French oak, drink it through 2022.
