The Renato Ratti 2019 Barbera d'Asti Superiore Villa Pattono sees its fruit sourced from a site in Costigliole d'Asti with clay soils layered with sand. This combination of different soil densities plays a role in shaping a medium-concentrated red wine with fresh fruit flavors of blackberry, candied cherry and plum. This is a 6,000-bottle production.

Depicting the antique 1775 military uniform from the regiment from the province of Asti, this is one bottle in a historic line of wines (each with its own military uniform on the front label) from Renato Ratti. The 2018 Barbera d'Asti Superiore Villa Pattono delivers dark cherry and plum, all supplemented by a balanced note of fruity sweetness. This is a plump, simple and ultimately very food-friendly red wine with tons of local Piedmont character. Production is 6,000 bottles.
