This is racy and fresh with dried strawberries, dark cherries, cocoa and light spices adding a dusty, earthy note to it. Medium- to full-bodied, broad and structured with taut, polished tannins. Yet it’s agile and fleshy with ripe red fruit and subtle chocolate undertones at the end. Long finish. Try after 2027.

Pure and velvety, this balanced red offers cherry, plum, iron, leather and earth flavors, with vibrant acidity keeping it all defined, followed by a long aftertaste of fruit and mineral. Best from 2026 through 2043.??–BS??Region: Italy / Piedmont / Barolo Select to Add

Lovely perfumes here with rose petal, cloves, and strawberry with some citrus. Medium body, with firm and linear tannins that are fine and racy. Shows lovely length. Better after 2027.

Broad and rich, exhibiting plum, cherry, earth and underbrush aromas and flavors. Reveals a dense matrix of tannins that lend support, with lively acidity. This finds nice equilibrium in the end, where a vestige of ripe Nebbiolo fruit lingers. This is one of Poderi Luigi Einaudi's historic productions. This estate enjoys some of the best growing sites in the appellation despite the fact winemaking is performed outside the denomination on Dogliani. This estate is grandfathered into the system. The 2019 Barolo Cannubi is streamlined and silky in texture, but it shows enough inner tension and energy to support a busy bouquet with elements of wild berry, blue flower and dusty mineral. This wine shows that classic Cannubi weightlessness. Some 9,600 bottles were made.
