A barrel sample, the 2020 Chardonnay is scented of baked apples and touches of almonds, flint and mushrooms, with those wafts of reduction still taking center stage at this point in time. The palate is medium-bodied, deeply fruited and pleasingly textural, finishing long and spicy.

The 2019 Chardonnay has intense aromas of baked peaches, jasmine and baking spices with a pretty, herbal undercurrent. The palate is intense, layered, energetic and perfumed, with bright bursts of acidity and a long, spicy finish.

The 2018 Chardonnay has pretty scents of dried leaves, hay and almonds with underlying spicy notes and a core of honeyed white peaches. Medium-bodied, the palate is silky in texture with savory, spicy character, seamless freshness and a long finish. 6,158 cases produced.

The 2017 Chardonnay has a wonderful perfume of apple pie and grated nutmeg with notes of wet hay, honeycomb, cheese rind and peach cobbler plus touches of crushed stone, mushroom and wet bark. The palate is medium to full-bodied, rounded and silky with intense, savory flavor layers and bright acidity kicking in on long the finish. 5,964 cases produced.

The 2016 Chardonnay features a wonderfully spicy nose of nutmeg, ginger ale and coriander seed with a core of Bosc pears, ripe nectarines and applesauce. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has fantastic freshness with a zippy acid line lifting all those fantastic spices to a good long finish. 5,390 cases were made.
