The 2008 ESTATE white has good body and depth, particularly considering that it is 100% Savatiano. It the winery’s single vineyard Savatiano, from relatively old vines (30-50 years). It is a little more serious than the light ‘n’ bright, easy going summer sipper we often see in this region. Serious and relatively full bodied for its type, although only 12% alcohol, it is clean and bright, raised only in stainless steel tanks. As it warms, there is a touch of grassiness. It always has a hard, steely edge. Drink now-2011.
