The Pillar Box offerings begin with the 2008 Pillar Box White, a blend of 67% Sauvignon Blanc, 28% Verdelho, and 5% Chardonnay. Light straw-colored, it offers up a fragrant bouquet of lime, grapefruit, and kiwi with a touch of fresh herbs. On the palate, hints of pineapple and other tropical fruits emerge. This smooth-textured, crisp, refreshing wine over-delivers in a big way. Drink it over the next 12-18 months. James Halliday says of Padthaway, “?It is on the way to nowhere.
